ASEFSA Success stories and interventions
1. ASEFSA has facilitated a social engagement facilitation MoU with SANRAL and The KZN Economic Council
2. AEFSAs approach and model has been presented and adopted at the KZN Cabinet Cluster where the following departments were represented through their HoD
• KZN department of transport and Community Liaison
• KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs
• Department of Social Development
• Department of Education
3. ASEFSA through its executive director successfully diffused tensions in Ethekwini Municipality between the Municipality, National Department of Tourism and the Taxi Industry which threatened to disrupt the Africa travel Indaba in.
4. Currently intervening between the Ethekwini Municipality/Steffanuti/Investor and MK Military veterans and Business Forum.
5. The ASEFSA Model has been adopted by the Aerotropolis Social Accord Committee where the following sectors are represented:
• Portnet
• Transnet
• Dube Trade Port
• Ilembe Enterprise
6. ASEFSA has intervened in KwaSithebe Industrial park where there has been violent protests and brought together the different stakeholders to find a common ground through an MoU.
7. ASFSA has trained and accredited 42 Social Engagement Facilitators who are equipped, skilled and ready to be deployed to intervene and prevent conflicts and resolve disputes.
